Who we are
PlugNest (plugnest.ca) is a peer-to-peer EV charging marketplace based in Ontario, Canada. This policy covers our website, waitlist, and mobile apps. Questions: privacy@plugnest.ca.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist we collect your email address, whether you're interested as a host or a driver, and — optionally — your region. Those three things are all we store about you — our sign-up endpoint discards anything else it is sent. We don't collect payment details or precise location.
To stop automated abuse of the form, our server also briefly notes the network address your request came from. It is never stored as-is: we keep a one-way scrambled version that lets us count repeat attempts without identifying you, and it is discarded within minutes.
How we use it
To email you when PlugNest launches in your area, and to decide which neighbourhoods we open first. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for their marketing. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
We have not sent any waitlist email yet. Every one we do send will carry a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately — we keep a record that you opted out purely so that you are never emailed again by mistake.
Where it lives
Waitlist data is stored with our infrastructure provider, Cloudflare, on servers they operate, and is reachable only by PlugNest through a private access key. We apply HTTPS everywhere, strict transport security, rate limiting, and bot filtering.
Third parties
None. Everything this site needs — including its typefaces — is served from plugnest.ca, so loading a page does not tell any other company that you were here. We run no analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts of any kind, and this site sets no cookies.
If you switch between the light and dark themes, your choice is saved in your own browser so the page doesn't flash the wrong colours next time. It stays on your device and is never sent to us. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. Email privacy@plugnest.ca and we'll act within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes materially before launch we'll note it here and, where appropriate, email you.
